INTERIOR DESIGN
The interior design emphasizes a limited, natural material palette of doug fir siding, flooring, and millwork; terracotta floor tile, and terrazzo countertops. Abundant natural light filters in through numerous clerestory windows and skylights, and floor to ceiling glass in the entry vestibule creates a seamless connection to the outdoors. The double height living room is the centerpiece of a single connected volume, in which the open balcony from the upstairs bedrooms sweeps down the hillside into the main space and out of big windows into the valley below. *The slow, passive spaces are more compressed while the communal, active spaces open up for daily life.
